Roofing Services

Leaks rarely announce themselves where the water is coming in. We inspect, trace the actual failure, repair flashing and shingles, tarp after storms, and document damage clearly enough to support an insurance claim when a claim is warranted.

Roof Replacement

Around 20 to 25 years is where most Mid-Atlantic asphalt roofs stop performing, whatever the warranty printed. Full tear-off lets us see the decking, replace what is soft, and install a manufacturer system that carries its full warranty.

Roof Installation

Underlayment, ice barrier, drip edge, step flashing, nailing pattern and balanced attic ventilation are what actually keep a roof watertight. We install to those details, use six-nail patterns where wind exposure calls for them, and vent intake and exhaust together.

Siding Installation

Siding is a rain screen, not a waterproof shell, so the weather-resistive barrier and flashing behind it carry the load. We tear off rather than layer over, repair rotted sheathing, then install vinyl or fiber cement rated for this climate.

Window Installation

Fogging between panes means a failed seal, not a cleaning problem. We measure whether an insert fits or the opening needs full-frame replacement, then set units meeting the ENERGY STAR ratings written for Maryland's mixed-humid climate zone.

Exterior Door Installation

Most heat loss at an entry happens around the door, not through it. Prehung units let us square the opening, set a proper sill pan and flash the head and jambs, which keeps wind-driven rain out of the subfloor.

Deck Construction

A deck stands or falls on its ledger and its footings. We through-bolt to the band joist, flash behind and above, set footings below frost depth, and build guards, stairs and railings to the dimensions inspectors actually measure.

Screened Porch Construction

Adding a roof and screen walls roughly doubles what the structure below has to carry, so existing deck footings often need replacing first. We verify the load path, then screen with 20x20 mesh that stops no-see-ums off tidal water.

Porch Construction

A covered porch changes the structural math, since columns must land on continuous bearing rather than cantilevered framing. We frame the roof, tie it into your existing shingles with proper valley and step flashing, and match trim and column details.
